2023 summary

As 2023 draws to a close it's time to look back and reflect. According to my calander this has been a quieter year than 2022 but I certainly don't feel like we've been sitting around doing nothing! This summer David and I celebrated our 30 year anniversary. We went on a trip to Quebec City for a few days to celebrate. As we were thinking about our years together we started counting and worked out that we've lived in 3 different places in 2 countries and 6 houses. We have 3 children and 2 children-in-law. We've had 2 dogs and currently have 4 'grand'dogs. We cannot count the animals we've had but they have included cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, a frog, a turtle, dogs, pigs, turkeys, ducks, goats, cows and fish and I'm sure I've forgotten something! We also celebrated 13 years in Canada with our traditional ice cream cake. In October, David and I decided to extend our trip to England and added a few days visiting Steve and Jan and the girls in Norway. It was lovely to spend time with them and to explore some of that beautiful country. We then visited David's parents in Cradley Heath and my parents in Whitby. Isaac and Hannah are busy trying to finish renovating their house before they have their baby in March next year. Josh bought a house in Harvey and is busy renovating it before moving in shortly. So our house will soon be very quiet again when Josh and Chewie move out. Harriet and Matt are currently in the UK visiting family. They are also expecting a baby in the summer of 2024 so it looks like 2024 will be an exciting year for us all. We continue to renovate our farm house, look after the farm, serve at our church and work in town so that's probably why I don't feel like we have been sitting around doing nothing all year. Take care and all the best for 2024.
