Summer

Sorry no pictures today, my computer is playing up so you'll just have to imagine until next time.
The hot weather has well and truly arrived along with wonderful thunder storms on a regular basis. The boys are mainly at home as neither have managed to get a job yet so I give them a little list of jobs to do each day! Harriet either comes to work with me, is babysat by David if he's on a late shift or at the moment is staying with Jen to help her out! Next week Isaac & Josh go on a Partners for Youth leadership canoe camp (a 6 day canoe trip). Harriet decided at the last minute to go on Green Hill Lake camp with a friend, when we looked into it it's on the same week!!!!!! No kids for 5 whole days.
Don't worry we'll keep busy as we're both working and we've got 1 puppy, 11 chicks and now 4 meat rabbits one of which just give birth yesterday to 10 babies to look after too.
David & Sarah arrive in just over 2 weeks and we've still 2 bedrooms to finish. They are progressing quite quickly at the moment and are on track to be completed on time as long as we don't hit anymore problems.
As it would be fun keeping up with cutting our 2 acres of grass Isaac cuts a good amount of it with a lawnmower, the rest was getting to about 1 1/2 feet high. Our neighbour kindly bush hogged our grass when he did his own this week so now we can see better our land.
Last weekend we had a long weekend for Canada day (July 1st). We went to Tracy to join with their celebrations which included a parade where they still throw candy out for the kids! We then went to the rec center for cake, icecream and the chance to win lots of prizes on a type of fairground. All the kids paid $1 for the chance to go for 2 hours on lots of little games like bowling, hoopla, basketball, football, hook a duck etc, they won tickets which they could exchange for big prizes! The day was topped off with firework displays all over, unfortunately we didn't get to one as I was still baking for market and David was working.
Max is getting huge now, he wasn't well one day last week but he's bounced back and is as cheeky as ever.
David has changed roles at work for this month to help out another department. He enjoys both roles very much. I'm now working 25 hours a week in the mornings so I'm usually home just after lunch which I enjoy too.
Sorry if you've been trying to contact us we've had problems with our land line not working and our computer is playing up so we are struggling to skype too. Hopefully this will be sorted soon.
